Ok, so the previous journal totally didn't happen! As Neil sweetly put it last night while we were in the pub, 'If I hadn't of met you I would be doing a lot more photography!'

The 26th was my niece's 1st birthday, which was a lot of fun - of course she loved the wrapping paper and ribbons more than the present itself.

Down Neil's neck of the woods this weekened and the weather is looking like it's improving so hopefully we'll be out with the cameras somewhere - goodness knows when I'll get round to submitting it all though!

Just to let everyone know officially that I'm back in the UK again. Typically its wet and windy.

Just letting everyone know that my DA account is going to go rather silent for the next 2 weeks as I am going to be in Rome on business. The good news is I'll take my camera with me so I'll hopefully try and skive off some of the time and go and take in the sights. The bad news is I'll miss 2 weeks of photography outings with Neil! *avalonmoon13

The follow on with this, I thought I'd share with everyone a selection of photographs we've taken as a result. You can make your own decision if we're improving either our photography techniques or our romantic ones instead

Well best do a reasonably good update of things:

Firstly, thanks to all and for all the wonderful deviations I am going to enjoy looking at! Thanks for all the comments and input too. Sorry I haven’t replied or updated much recently but things keep getting in the way. Getting on with things tonight hopefully.

It’s been a bit of a hectic month. The tiring drive has been work and the end result is going to be a review of my work load with the powers that be, but also a trade show in Rome in the next couple of weeks and I am really going to try and sneak away from work commitments and take to the sights with my camera and eat a shed load of pasta! I think I’ve burnt out and was quiet happy to sleep through a good chunk of this weekend. Fingers crossed nothing goes FUBAR!

The momentum of work was halted for a short while as I took a trip up to Edinburgh. I ended up taking the week off and had a jolly girly trip with me mum. I would list all the pubs and the sites of historical interest (many luckily being pubs themselves) but it would be quite a long read, but it was a lot of fun! Was nice weather but Sod’s Law with the relaxing feeling of a week off work meant the immune system relaxed a little too much so I was all husky and full of cold and snuffles for the week. Good job there is a lot of that medicinal whisky up there to sample!

The final and most important update. The strangest but most wonderful things happen in the most bizarre of ways I can tell you. I took a photo of a bunch of rocks 3 years ago and decide to submit it the other month. It gets a comment, develops a banter, fires off with a few trips out with the cameras together and next thing you know your lying in the grass together looking at the apple blossom thinking ‘ ooh this is rather nice’. So remember, blame an addictive hobby - and the damned rocks - but you are wonderful though.

I'm back!

Super duper busy at the moment though and my one free evening I had tonight to myself has been booked out!
